Senior Moment

I’ve had the privilege of meeting and photographing so many beautiful, genuine and talented young women over the past few years. I have a particular appreciation for the class of 2020 because I have a senior of my own. I photographed so many girls last summer when everything for them was so certain. Who knew this summer would be so different? I thought it would be fun to feature these beautiful girls with a brief Q&A. I’d like them to know, no matter what, they will always be recognized by me. Looking through a lens, I see so much more…

RM: I love your Instagram feed @whatscreganeatin - will you continue this when you are at school in the fall?

CR: hope to continue to cook as much as I can in school... my roommate and I have been making a list of favorite meals to make. I love creating meals because I feel eating/cooking brings people together. My sisters and dad are always around the kitchen to talk and hang out when I cook and family dinner is a big part of our day.

RM: What will you be studying?

CR: I will be studying business hopefully with a minor in mandarin.

RM: I photographed you in Avalon, how are you spending your time there this summer?
CR: I’ve been spending a lot of time hanging out at the beach and the pool with my friends and family. I’ve been trying to get in as much time with them before I leave for school on Aug. 6

RM: If you aren’t cooking there where do you like to eat?

CR: My favorite place to eat in Avalon is the Diving Horse. Everything they make is spectacular... you can’t go wrong with anything! My favorite meal there is the scallops.

RM: Whats your favorite place to shop in Avalon?

CR: My favorite place to shop is Avalon Surf Shop! The family that runs the store always so nice!

RM: Next year you’ll finally be out of a uniform! Can you tell us a bit about your personal style?

CR: I am super excited to leave the uniform life and be able to express myself through my wardrobe... I’m lucky that I get to spend a lot of time in the city so my style I think has a mix of like city wear with a little bit of bohemian. It honestly depends on my mood! My favorite stores at home are free people and Revolve, but walking up and down Walnut Street and Chestnut street there’s so many places to just to tuck in and find cute things to wear. I am so lucky my sister, Kirsten, is about the same size as me so we always swap/share clothes and try on each others style.

RM: The sun is out today in Avalon but yesterday was a crazy storm! How do you pass the time hear when it rains?

CR: The best way I think to get through a tropical storm is to honestly embrace! Though the sunny days are more fun, I always find an appreciation for the slower rainy days. I usually like to sit near a window with a cup of tea and watch a movie or read a book with my dog!
